Wayside School series : Children's Books

There was a rather weird mistake when Wayside School was built. The school was supposed to be built one story high with all the classrooms on the same story. Instead it was built 30 stories high but only if you include Miss Zarves classroom. She teaches on the nineteenth story. Except there is no nineteenth story so there is no Miss Zarves. Well enough about Miss Zarves.

Each classroom is a new story high. Mrs. Jewls teaches on the thirtieth story but only after Mrs. Gorf disappeared in one bite. Mrs. Jewls has many students in her classroom with something strange about each one of them. So read this book and enjoy Mrs. Jewls and her class in Sideways Stories From Wayside School.

Up in Mrs. Jewls class they were learning about gravity by tossing pencils and paper out their window and on to the ground. The kids still didn't understand gravity until Louis the yard teacher carried up a big package up the stairs. The package was a computer so they tossed it out the window. "Now that's gravity," said Mrs. Jewls! That's just a normal thing at Wayside School. Just like Dede saw Mrs. Gorf on the monkey bars! Mrs. Gorf was their mean old teacher they had before Mrs. Jewls! Something bad happens at the end of the story. Something very bad. [but nothing to do with Mrs. Gorf].

Wayside School was closed for 243 days to get rid of the cows in the school. All the kids went to different schools and it gets worse, not even 2 kids went to the same school. Mrs. Jewls taught on the thirtieth floor at Wayside School. Well not when the school was closed.

When the school opened again, Mrs. Jewls was out having a baby and the kids had plenty of mean subsututes. That's how Wayside School got a little stranger.
